Create a Repurposed Stained Glass Flower

  • Appalachian Art Crafts Center 2716 Andersonville Highway Clinton, TN, 37716 United States (map)

In this creative 2-part class, you’ll build on the skills learned in the beginner stained glass class as you design and construct a beautiful stained glass flower using a unique repurposed item as the centerpiece. This project blends traditional stained glass techniques with creative upcycling, resulting in a truly one- of-a-kind piece of art.

During the class, you will:

  • Create and prepare custom templates for your flower design

  • Learn additional construction and soldering techniques

  • Explore how to use stained glass patina to add depth and character by “coloring” your solder lines

  • Gain more confidence working with stained glass tools and materials

A variety of repurposed centerpieces will be available for you to choose from, but students are encouraged to bring a meaningful or interesting item of their own if desired. (Please note: centerpiece items should not exceed 6” in diameter.)

This class is designed to be both educational and relaxed, with plenty of time for questions, troubleshooting, and individual guidance throughout the creative process. Whether you want to refine your technique, experiment artistically, or simply enjoy creating alongside others, this class offers a fun and inspiring next step in your stained glass journey.
